Neem Karoli Baba, lovingly called Maharajji, was a saint of northern India and a devotee of Hanuman. He founded the Kainchi Dham ashram near Nainital in 1964 and left his body on 11 September 1973. Through Ram Dass, Krishna Das and many others, his love reached countless people in America.

His teaching was simple: love everyone, serve everyone, remember God, and tell the truth.
